WFPHA's Indigenous Working group held a workshop on the 8th of April, 2019 in order to identity global Indigenous public priorities. Indigenous knowledge is important to a healthier and more sustainable planet. Adrian Te Patu, Co-Chair of the working group, believes that indigenous people of the world have always respected their environment, which is why is it necessary for them to be apart of the policy conversations on planetary health and sustainable development. The Indigenous working group works hard to prioritize the rights and knowledge of Indigenous people. This press release works to inform everyone of the importance of indigenous representation in order to better the environment.
